Agriculture Resume
Many people do not equate agriculture and resumes. There is no reason for that since there are jobs in agriculture so there should be resumes as well. Like all resumes you will be listing skills, however, they do differ a bit bit the way they are done. You can include skills learned through classes, seminars, and such. That is advantageous for you because a lot can be learned for free at classes at the County Extension Office
In agriculture resumes you start with skills and any accomplishment then finish off with your job history, these resumes are specifically targeted, to a particular position with a particular employer. That should be keep in mind so as to not go into too much details that are of no interest to the employer
These things should be kept in mind when doing an agriculture resume.
- Target your resume for each job. Driving a combine is a different skill set than collecting honey or driving cattle.
- Make a point to emphasize knowledge, skills, and such as they relate to the job. This shows them what you can bring to the job.
- Make sure you have a firm grasp of what the job entails. That will make it easier to point out your skills that would be atributes
