Contact information

- All phone numbers
- email address
Objective
This is were you state what you are looking for in a position as will as what makes you qualified for it. This is your opening sales pitch but should be clear and brief. Things that you might want to consider including are the vacancy (if you know of on) that you are interested in and a few points that make you qualified for it. That might be your education, your number of years of experience, or a previous jods you had held that was very similar.
Summary of qualifications. This is an are for the experience professional to summarize their skill set. It can best be done in three to ten bullet points. An example might be:
- Supervising accountant for a team of 5 for 7 year
- Knowledgeable and certified in most major accounting software
Accounting education. For all schools listed, in reverse chronological order, you should include
- Degrees
- graduation date
- School
- Location
- Related licenses or certifications
Accounting skills. This is simply a total composite of your accounting skill set.
Accounting experience. Again in reverse chronological order, this is a listing of your past accounting experience. This is also a great place to include any recognition you have received or mention any special projects you have assisted with.
Activities. Here is where you can mention activities outside of work that you think reflect well on you.
Keywords. Through out your resume try to include as many keywords as you ca as those will catch the recruiter's eye. When you a writing use the active rather than passive form of the verbs used.
It will be the content of your resume as well as your ability to effectively describe them that will get you the most calls from the office. There are many ways to do this. You can use small details to emphasize scope. Does “accounts” or “1000 accounts” sound better? The person that had written “accounts” might have managed 3,000 accounts but he never said it so it won't matter.
Also, try to use “management” words where you can. You want to seem like you took your last jobs by the horns and made things happen. Again, stay away from passive verbs. Make sure you use your key words as much as you can. This is your field so you can guess what the keywords are going to be.
